Howto use:

Before using take away the PE membrane，push the ON/OFF button ,the LCD will show the temperature. If you  want to see the Fahrenheit temperature. you could push the℃/℉button . then the LCD will show the Fahrenheit temperature

Do t open the thermometer except replacing the battery
