試驗(yàn)時將試樣固定于夾具上，然后將試樣浸泡坐在低溫介質(zhì)中5分鐘，用2±0.2m/s的線速度沖擊試樣，后檢查試樣在溫度是否出現(xiàn)裂紋、裂縫、小孔、以及是否完分離成碎片。

本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定了測定橡膠材料在規(guī)定條件下經(jīng)受沖擊時不出現(xiàn)脆性破壞的溫度或部分試樣出現(xiàn)脆性破壞溫度的方法。 
　　本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)適用于硫化橡膠或熱塑性橡膠低溫脆性的測定。 
　　因?yàn)椴牧系拇嘈詼囟仁軠y試條件和沖擊速度的影響，這樣測得的脆性溫度不是這種材料可以使用的溫度。這種方法獲得的數(shù)據(jù)只有在變形條件和試驗(yàn)規(guī)定的條件相似的情況下，才可用于預(yù)見橡膠材料在低溫下的特性。 
　　描述了三種程序：程序A：測定脆性溫度；程序B：測定50%破壞的脆性溫度；程序C：在規(guī)定溫度下沖擊試樣。 
　　程序C用于橡膠材料的分類及評價橡膠材料合性。（對于橡膠涂層織物的類似測試見ISO 4646，橡膠或塑料涂層織物低溫沖擊試驗(yàn)）

脆性溫度：

在規(guī)定條件下一組試樣不產(chǎn)生破壞的溫度。

50%脆性溫度：

在規(guī)定的條件下一組試樣50%發(fā)生破壞的溫度

試驗(yàn)速度：

試樣裝置的沖擊頭與被夾緊試樣之間沖擊時的相對線速度（試驗(yàn)裝置可用于滿足本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求的旋轉(zhuǎn)電機(jī)、電磁線圈、重錘、彈簧驅(qū)動的沖擊器。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)上只給出電磁線圈低溫沖擊試驗(yàn)機(jī)的速度校準(zhǔn)，而我公司是采用伺服電機(jī)控制沖擊速度，所以校準(zhǔn)伺服電機(jī)的轉(zhuǎn)速即可）
