A football player needs to accelerate from a standing start and be able to s quickly as well.This characteristic requires an interaction between the sole of the soccer shoe and the surface.The method used to ess this characteristic is based on a Tester.This tester is adapted by Labosport to the FIFA requirements for linear friction testing on artificial turf.The Tester measures the Stud Sliding Value(SSV)by means of a pointer on a special scale.Besides that,the special written GSlide software processes the g-signal from a mounted accelerometer and calculates the Stud Sliding Value(SDV).
